In the early 1970s, the First Nations people of Manitoba came together to reject Prime Minister Trudeau’s controversial White Paper written in 1969. From this historic movement came an influential position paper, Wahbung, Our Tomorrows.
This book explores the history of Wahbung and how it was a catalyst for First Nations peoples’ right to self-determination. A teacher’s guide and the documentary film, Our Tomorrows, Today: Wahbung 1971 is also included.
